JAPORMS DIRECT TRANSFER FILM

Direct Transfer Film (DTF) is a relatively new and innovative printing technology used to transfer designs onto various types of fabrics. It involves printing a design directly onto a special film, which is then transferred onto the garment using heat and pressure. DTF is a versatile and durable printing method that offers high-quality, full-color prints on a wide range of fabrics. It's particularly well-suited for custom, small-batch production and can be used to create detailed and vibrant designs with a soft feel.

aDVANTAGES OF DIRECT TRANSFER FILM

Customization

  • Personalized Designs: DTF printing allows for easy customization of individual items with names, numbers, or custom designs, making it ideal for personalized gifts, team uniforms, and one-of-a-kind apparel.
  • Complex Designs: The digital nature of DTF allows for complex and detailed designs, including photographic images, that can be difficult to achieve with traditional methods.

Durability

  • Long-Lasting Prints: DTF prints are durable and can withstand repeated washing without significant fading, cracking, or peeling, provided they are cared for properly.
  • Soft Feel: The transferred design has a soft hand feel, making it comfortable to wear, unlike other methods that can leave a heavy or stiff print.

Versatility

  • Suitable for Various Fabrics: DTF printing works well on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, blends, and even non-fabric materials. This versatility makes it ideal for different types of apparel and accessories.
  • Compatible with Light and Dark Fabrics: DTF can be used on both light and dark fabrics without losing vibrancy or detail, thanks to the use of white ink as a base layer.

DIRECT TRANSFER FILM CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To keep your embroidered patches looking great and lasting longer, follow these care instructions:

Washing Method:

  • Turn Inside Out: Always turn the garment inside out before washing to protect the printed design from friction and abrasion.
  • Use Cold Water: Wash the item in cold water using a gentle cycle. Hot water can cause the adhesive to weaken, leading to peeling or fading of the design.
  • Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach or harsh chemicals. These substances can degrade the print and fabric over time.

Drying Guidelines:

  • Air Dry Recommended: For best results, air dry the garment by laying it flat or hanging it up. Avoid wringing out the fabric, as this can distort the print.
  • Low Heat If Using a Dryer: If you must use a dryer, select a low heat setting. High heat can damage the DTF print, causing it to crack or peel.

Ironing:

  • Avoid Direct Heat: Do not iron directly on the DTF print. If ironing is necessary, turn the garment inside out and use a low heat setting. Place a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect the print.
  • Avoid Steam: Do not use steam when ironing, as moisture combined with heat can weaken the adhesive bond of the print.
